JUNE 19, 2009

BOWIE HOUSE FIRE

Just after 2:30 units from Bowie, Upper Marlboro, Glen Dale and surrounding departments along with units from Anne Arundel County Fire Department were called to the 100 block of Stan Fry Dr in the Queen Ann community of Bowie for a reported house fire.First arriving units reported a two-story dwelling well involved with a total collapse of the roof and second floor;

TWO ALARM FIRE

RIVERDALE

A Riverdale convenient store is destroyed after a two alarm fire early this afternoon leaving one firefighter injured. Around 12:30 fire units from RiverdaleHeights, Riverdale, Bladensburg and neighboring fire companies were alerted for a building fire in the 5400 block of Kenilworth Ave.

Around 4 a.m. this morning Engine 848 was returning from a medical local in their first due area when they notice heavy smoke in the area of Second Street and Cipnano Road. While checking the area they located heavy fire coming from the top floor and roof area of a large three-story dwelling in the 9000 block of Second street

TWO ALARM FIRE

Just after 8:30 a, m. this morning (12/16) units from Beltsville, Branchville, Berwyn Heights and surrounding fire departments along with several units from Montgomery County Fire Department were alerted for a report of fire coming from an apartment building in the 11200 block of Cherry Hill Road in the Calverton area of Prince George's C

AUGUST 5 2007

HOUSE FIRE

LANHAM/GREENBELT

Just before 3 a.m. Sunday, August 5, 2007, a passing motorist on Greenbelt Road near NASA witnessed the rear of a house on fire and notified 911 by way of her cell phone. Firefighters from Greenbelt, Glenn Dale, West Lanham Hills and surrounding communities responded to 9410 Copernicus Drive in the Greenbelt Woods subdivision and encountered a 2-story with basement, non-sprinklered, single family home with heavy fire showing from the rear of the house

JULY 27, 2007

THREE ALARM FIRE

     LAUREL

Just before 2 a.m units from Laurel , Beltsville, Branchville and surrounding fire departments along with units from Anne Arundel, Howard and Montgomery County responded to a three alarm fire in the 14800 block of Bowie RD (near Laurel Rescue Squad ) for fire in a three-story apartment building. Over 150 firefighters battle the fire for 30 minutes before the fire was placed under control

TWO ALARM PG BOX ALARM DC

CHAPLE OAKS 

Just before 2 p.m. on June 12 units from Chaple Oaks, Tuxedo-Cheverly, Capitol Heights and surrounding fire departmants were called to the 5300 block of Sheriff Road near Eastern Ave for a building fire. Firefighters arricved on the scene with heavy fire showing from several one-story buildings, a second alarm was sounded  along with several special alarms. Units from the District of Columbia also were called to assist with the fire

THREE ALARM FATAL FIRE

FORESTVILLE

 Just after midnight, Wednesday, May 30, 2007, Prince George’s County Firefighters from the Forestville and surrounding communities were alerted to a building fire in the Holly Hill Condominiums.  Firefighters and Paramedics responded to 7109 Donnell Place and arrived quickly to find heavy fire conditions in the 3-story front/4-story rear garden style condominium building

BRANCHVILLE

Just after 11:00 PM on Monday, March 19, 2007, a 4-vehicle crash occurred on the Outer Loop of the Capital Beltway just North of the Route One overpass in College Park. Three passenger cars and a tractor-trailer were involved resulting in three injuries and one death

On a very cold morning firefighters were called to the fBay & Surf Restaurant at 11411 Baltmore Ave for a reported smoke coming from the building, Units arrived with a working fire in the kitchen area
